Bollywood stars made a beeline to attend a special screening of Marvel superhero spectacle “Avengers: Endgame” in India’s showbiz capital Mumbai on Monday (April 01).
Bollywood actresses Pooja Hegde, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria were among the first to arrive at the premiere. Star couple Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna arrived with their daughter Nitara to see the film.
“It was amazing. Must watch”, an awestruck Hegde told reporters after watching the film.
The three-hour film starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth and Scarlett Johansson is the final chapter in a story told across 22 Marvel films. It picks up after “Infinity War,” when many of Marvel’s big-screen superheroes appeared to turn to dust.
In “Endgame,” survivors including Iron Man, the Hulk and Black Widow plot to kill the supervillain Thanos and undo his damage.
The 21 previous movies from the Walt Disney Co-owned Marvel studio are the highest-grossing franchise in film history, generating more than $18.6 billion at global box offices since 2007.
